NITI Aayog
Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, has launched the Aatmanirbhar Bharat ARISE-Atal New India Challenges (ANIC) initiative. It will help in boosting research and innovation in Indian MSMEs and startups.
ATL is an approach of Central government of India to create an environment of scientific
temperament, innovation, creativity amongst Indian Students. ATL lab would teach students
essential 21st-century skills which will help them in developing their professional and
personal skills.
The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in
young minds and inculcate skills such as design mind - set, computational thinking, adaptive
learning, physical computing, rapid calculations, measurements etc.
The existing facilities for meeting rooms and video conferencing among others can be used
to supplement the laboratory space. 6.0 Applicant schools intending to establish ATLs may
visit http://www.niti.gov.in and submit their application online to the Atal Innovation Mission,

In the modern education system, Atal Tinkering Lab refers to space where the children can
experiment with, learn, develop and conceptualize different scientific ideas
Tinkering is a process where (small) design decisions have to be taken relatively often (e.g.
compared to a project course, where typically a whole group decides on the design and
bigger fragments of the time go to problem framing and realization).
